From May 20 to 23, 2026, the World Elevator & Escalator Expo 2026 (WEE Expo) was held at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou. As the biennial flagship event of the global elevator industry, this year's expo covered over 100,000 square meters of exhibition space, bringing together more than 1,100 global brands including Otis, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, and Guangri, and welcomed tens of thousands of professional visitors from over 20 countries and regions including Germany, South Korea, Vietnam, and the UK – with overseas attendees accounting for more than 20% of total visitors.
After a 12-year hiatus, this premier global elevator industry event returned to Guangzhou for compelling reasons – in 2025, Guangzhou's elevator production accounted for 10.4% of China's total output, meaning one out of every ten elevators produced in China comes from Guangzhou. The profound industrial foundation and massive modernization demand of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area made this expo a vital platform connecting global elevator industry resources.
